Is your social battery running low?

Do you ever feel like you’ve had enough of people for the day? Maybe you love spending time with friends, but after a few hours you just want to go home, put your phone on silent and be alone.

That’s when your social battery is running low.

At the speaking club we talked about social energy, introversion and extroversion, alone time, socialising and setting boundaries. Here are the expressions we practised.

My social battery is running low

I’m getting tired of socialising and need some time alone.

I need to recharge my social battery

I need some quiet time to recover my energy.

I’m not in the mood to socialise

I don’t feel like spending time with other people.

I’d rather stay in tonight

I prefer to stay at home instead of going out.

I’m a people person

I naturally enjoy being around other people.

I’m socially drained

Social interaction has made me feel very tired.

Which one sounds like you today?

Tell me which phrase fits you best, or come and practise them live at the speaking club.
